The exploration of quantum entanglement at TeV-scale energies has sparked increasing interest in precision studies of the spin structure of weak-boson pairs in LHC processes. Achieving a reliable spin interpretation of experimental data requires an accurate determination of polarisation and spin-correlation coefficients, incorporating electroweak (EW) and strong higher-order corrections, as well as parton-shower and hadronisation effects. While most existing phenomenological analyses are limited to tree-level simulations, recent advances have enabled the inclusion of higher-order corrections in the evaluation of quantum-information observables for di-boson (two-qutrit) processes. We demonstrate that properly determining the spin-density-matrix entries, and thereby correctly interpreting observables sensitive to quantum entanglement, demands the inclusion of realistic effects such as radiative corrections, clustering-algorithm dependence, off-shell effects, fiducial selections, and event reconstruction. Furthermore, we investigate the origin of the unusually large EW radiative effects observed in the spin-density matrix of the Z-boson with leptonic decays, and we propose a quantum-tomography approach that is both general and robust under higher-order corrections.
