 C))\n Street: Pfotenhauerstraße 108\n City: 01307 Dresden\n Phone: +49

c systems of interacting particles with non-overlapping constraints\, whic
h give rise to so-called excluded-volume interactions. The aim is to deriv
e effective macroscopic equations governing the evolution of particle dens
ities from the underlying microscopic dynamics. When particles possess non
trivial size or shape\, geometric constraints become essential: they compl
icate the coarse-graining process and strongly influence the emergent beha
viour of the system. I will present two representative examples\, hard sph
eres and infinitely thin needles\, highlighting how geometry enters the ma
 croscopic description.
