SUMMARY:Engel: Random attractors on countable state spaces
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Maximilian Engel\nInstitute of Speaker: University of
 Amsterdam\nTopics:\n\n Location:\n Name: MPI-CBG (MPI-CBG CSBD SR Ground
 Floor (VC))\n Street: Pfotenhauerstraße 108\n City: 01307 Dresden\n Ph
 one: +49 351 210-0\n Fax: +49 351 210-2000\nDescription: I will describe
the synchronization behavior of discrete-time Markov chains on countable s
tate spaces. Representing a Markov chain in terms of a random dynamical sy
stem\, which describes the collective dynamics of trajectories driven by t
he same noise\, allows for the characterization of synchronization via ran
dom attractors. We establish the existence and uniqueness of a random attr
actor under mild conditions and show that forward and pullback attraction
are equivalent in our setting. Additionally\, we provide a sufficient cond
ition for reaching the random attractor\, or synchronization respectively\
, in a time of finite mean. This is joint work with Robin Chemnitz and Gui
 llermo Olicón-Méndez
